Why has eBird stopped accepted "Wrentit" as a species?

For several weeks now, eBird has been rejecting "Wrentit" as a species when submitted from an uploaded file, and asking for it to be changed to "Wrentit - Chamaea fasciata". This is clearly a bug in your system, especially weird since it wasn't always that way. Please fix it.

Would it be that hard to change Wrentit to Wrentit - Chamaea fasciata?

Hmm, I just tried adding Wrentit to a list and it looks fine. When you "Jump to Species" or "Add Species" eBird will show common and Latin names (Chamaea fasciata is the Latin binomial for Wrentit) but in the checklist itself will only show the common name. I presume this is because now that eBird is global there may be some possible sources of confusion (and in some countries Latin name is more commonly used).

Just to clarify for those who posted responses, this problem is unique to Wrentit as far as I know (you don't have to upload "House Finch - Carpodacus mexicanus" just to pick one example; "House Finch" is perfectly accepted, as is every other species I know of), and furthermore it is unique to the situation when you are uploading the sightings from a file (generated by, e.g., software such as Birdwatcher's Diary for iPhone/iPad); you won't see this if you enter data online.
