Great Blue Heron in Asia

https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S60410794

This person clearly marked their checklist wrong - Great Blue Heron, Red-tailed Hawk, Bald Eagle, Pileated Woodpecker, Blue Jay, and European Startling don't occur in Nepal, except that EUST is a vagrant. What puzzles me is where they were that they saw these American birds AND the Common Sandpipers, Common Kingfishers, and Great Cormorant. One explanation is that they couldn't find certain American species on the filters for Nepal (no wonder) so they substituted Double-crested Cormorant for Great Cormorant, Belted Kingfisher for Common Kingfisher, and Spotted Sandpiper for Common Sandpiper.

Maybe Team eBird should clear this up? The local reviewers in Nepal aren't very active.

Ian, you will probably have better luck contacting eBird directly ( button at top right of this page) rather than posting on this community forum.
Good luck!
