How to find birders near me?

Is it possible to find birders living close to me via ebird in order to go birding together?

eBird isn't really geared for that. Try Facebook or your local birding club.

Luisa,

J is correct that eBird is not really organized to communicate between birders.

However, there are always paths to get around that situation. I suggest checking a nearby Hotspot and then opening the profiles of birders who have their birding names indicated in BLUE font. Those birders have a brief biography. Very few of those have links to web pages or to email. But just luck to find one who has opened their personal life to other eBirders.

Instead of that path, try a search for local birding clubs in your area or nature centers where you might be linked to local birders or to birding events to attend or to use to find local birders.

Good birding,
