Should I report Northern Bobwhite in Pennsylvania to ebird?

According to the Pennsylvania Game Commission there is no longer a self-sustaining population of NOBO in the state. Is ebird still interested in knowing about it if I see a Bobwhite in the wild, knowing it is probably a captive bred/released bird?

Chuck,

We suggest that you submit the data with your comment above included in the details and then let the birding community decide. If you do NOT enter your observation, then the bobwhite cannot exist in the data whether "wild" or "released." We fully believe in submissions in all instances like this. You know what you see, the game commission is making a sweeping statement to best of their knowledge but still incomplete.

good birding,

meg
