Ebird excel template

I am still after many years finding getting data from Excel into Ebird problematic.

The error messages that come up on attempts at importing are insufficiently specific to facilitate troubleshooting, and are also confusing (e.g the message says "Please double-check that columns 1 and 2 are blank", and yet the example on the website does not have the first column blank???)

I have many thousands of records to load in, likely > 100,000.
The last time I tried to get assistance on this someone excitedly made grate promises to help but ceased responding after a few failed attempts to resolve.
Several years later I am trying again.

So, please, who can actually help and commit to maintaining communications until we have got all the data successfully loaded?

It sounds as if you have the incorrect file type selected in the import process. Ebird only expects the first two columns to be blank in the Checklist format. The Record format does not.

I am selecting the checklist format.
I still desperately need help here. i.e, someone I can email my files to to figure out the issues.

A working template that I could paste my data into might help.
