Sharing checklists via a link
How does one set up a link to share checklists, like the way the Biggest Week does it: http://www.biggestweekinamericanbirding.com/ebird.html. I lead walks and would like to have this option, if possible. I also see a problem in it though, that anyone could click on the links and accept the list thereby inaccurately inflating how many people went on the walk. I was wondering if eBird might discourage this sharing method for this reason.

I’m not sure how the Biggest Week does it, but you can share any checklist you create. Just open the checklist you want to share and click on the “Share” icon in the upper right below the “Checklist Tools” icon. You will need either the email address or the eBird username of the person you want to share the list with. Only the people you send a link to can add the checklist.
