Why doesn't eBird use bird frequency on the daily or hourly level to study the effects of weather?

weather is so local, that bird behavior might be subject to weather on your list and have no influence only a short distance away. Large weather events are recorded at other databases where eBird researchers can retrieve all sorts of weather and climactic data as wished.
Analysis of bird data and weather data at eBird might occupy far larger data resources than necessary for the few times the combined data might be referenced directly through eBird. However, no doubt some researchers are using combined weather and bird data for inclusion in the scientific literature. Perhaps check the references available somewhere on the eBird pages?
Good birding and weather related analyses,
