New ABA Area not included?
I asked this question early last year, and got no reply. It has now been over a year since the ABA area expanded to include Hawaii. My Hawaii sightings are still not showing in My eBird totals. When I do a "Target" search, it tells me I still need all those species. Is there any time frame for this change to take place? Thanks a lot.

Thanks for writing in. The most recent change to the ABA area hasn’t been incorporated into eBird yet. Adding this is something that we want to do in the near future, but I can’t provide a timetable for that right now. It’s actually a rather involved process to create a new listing region in eBird!
Rest assured that we do plan on implementing this at some point, but for now, you’ll want to tabulate your current ABA life list by looking at your state list for Hawaii in eBird, determining how many species you gained, and then adding that to your existing ABA totals in eBird.
