Restoring eBird mobile app to an iPhone
I want to uninstall eBird from my iPhone 7 then reinstall with the hope of fixing a glitch (am unable to connect to the eBird server to download any existing or new checklists, only error messages). My wife's app is working well connected to my system/router so it is not an equipment issue. Power cycling the phone did not work. The question is, when I unload/reload eBird, can I reload all my data as well, or will I lose my data. I suspect the former, but I have never before had to affirmatively download my data and I am unfamiliar with the procedure. Thanks for any help here.

Your data will be saved, since it is part of your eBird account, not just the app. You can access your account at ebird.org. You should be able to access the data from your phone after re-installing the app, as well.

My iPad was working great from day 1. Now I can't do anything. Uninstalled eBird and reinstalled but still nothing. Got spoiled having the iPad on my little trips. Back to writing it down and using PC when I get home. What has happened to the program. Tried again this morning but still nothing.

Perhaps your iPad is older and can't update the app?

Thanks for the help. Have reloaded the app and reconnected to eBird using my username and password, and app functionality is restored. However some data was not restored. I have my species count summary info, but all past checklists are gone. The checklists contain a lot of detailed data; any suggestions on whether/how checklists can be restored. Thanks again!

I don’t know why the lists didn’t come up on the app, but they will always be on the website under My eBird

I never thought about the iPad being old. It is about 4 years and always worked. First I updated the PC and it was suppose to just communicate with the iPad. Buying the Wifi has really helped the PC but I only did it to update eBird. Lived thru windows 10. guess I can live thru this. Thanks, James.

If you are unable to restore ebird mobile app in your iPhone then you need to change your internet connection first. If you router working fine then i suggest you to read https://www.routertechnicalsupportnumbers.com/blog/fix-invalid-wi-fi-ip-configuration-issue-on-windows-10/ blog to resolve all your issue related to router.
