eBird can't access the server?
If I delete Ebird App from my iPhone, will I lose my personal data, or any unsubmitted lists?
When trying to use iBird, I have for the last week, been getting this message: "eBird can't access the server. Please try again later or start an offline checklist." the later leads to the same message whenever I try to submit it.
I expect I need to delete the App and re-install, but is there another "fix" anyone may know of? or a way to save my data if that's necessary?"

I am using iPhone x from last year. It happens to me twice. It is really irritating for me. After that, I have deleted this app. I think you should do so. This has been happening to me as well while traveling through several states. The mobile app claims it cannot access the server even when connected to WiFi. The message appears after I try to submit a checklist that I created offline (because eBird could not access the server via cellphone connection)--the app will let me select a hotspot but I then get the error message "eBird can't access the server. Please check your internet connection and try again" when I select "Confirm."
I sent in a query to eBird a couple of days ago--could techs please post a response describing how to correct this problem? I'm having to reenter checklists on my computer because I can't submit them online.

I went ahead and deleted the App. Fortunately eBird still has all my data--but when I re-downloaded the APP, all previous checklists were gone...but I can still access my personal locations, hotspots and cumulative personal data. So far that works for me. post downloaded lists are still on the APP (on my phone).
