Can you help me identify this bird call?

This morning at about 6:00 am, I heard a bird near my upper-floor window. The song or call was very distinctive, something like "TIier, tier, tier" (in quick succession and with an emphatic tone). There would then be a long pause before another call. A couple of times, the bird also added a faster, radar-gun sound after the usual "tier, tier, tier." If there's a way to upload the audio I recorded, I can share that (although the sound quality isn't great).

this is not the place to ask for ID help and you can not upload a file also for that reason: use Facebook groups such as Bird ID, or What's this bird, or in alternative the Whatbird dot com forum. On those websites, adding the location would also help in IDing. Thanks

Sorry, Menlo, but there was a similar question posted to ebird in May by someone named Mary Orr, which is why I thought this was the place for ID help. There was a friendly exchange afterwards too; I guess things have changed since then. Your reply just made me lose interest in this "community."

You should record the call with your phone and post it somewhere where other can give you their opinion.
