What is the Macaulay Library button for?

http://help.ebird.org/customer/portal/articles/973966-adding-photos-videos-and-recordings-to-checklists?b_id=1928 contains the following about the Macaulay Library":
"each piece of rich media uploaded in eBird automatically becomes a part of this valuable scientific research collection."
So what does clicking the button do?

If you press the button it will just take you to your photo in another Cornell Lab website called "Macaulay Library." Your photos are automatically uploaded to this website when they are uploaded to eBird, so your photo is already there. When you press this button, it will show you your photo in the Macaulay Library.
So go ahead, and press the button! It will not do any harm to your photo.
