Entering life list

Is there an obvious easy way to enter a list of nearly 400 life birds with location and date without having to know time and other data I may not have after over 30 years of birding? This is now in a handwritten journal and I did not keep all of the "required" e-bird data. Seems there should be an obvious painless way to accomplish this.

I would simply enter each bird in its location under its date, and leave the checklist either 'incomplete' or 'historical'. Also, in both cases select NO to the question 'are you reporting all birds you saw/heard?'
if you do not have the specific location, just enter each bird at a city, county (and in worst case scenario State/province) level.

All I want to do is upload my life list to date and then start recording trips in the future. Advice online supports my findings - it is very hard to upload your life list in the first place in what seems to be a very poorly designed App.
