Importing exported eBird files into eBird

I recently found that I had two accounts on eBird. To merge them, I exported the .csv file from the old account; however, when I try to import that csv to the new account, it isn't accepted as correctly formatted. I'm curious how this could happen! Does eBird not export in the format needed to import?

Here is the entire file I am trying to import:

Row #,Species,Count,Location,S/P,Date,LocID,SubID
1,California Scrub-Jay,1,Alabama and 24th,US-CA,27 Dec 2014,L3241084,S21041902
2,American Crow,3,Alabama and 24th,US-CA,27 Dec 2014,L3241084,S21041902
3,Yellow-rumped Warbler,1,Alabama and 24th,US-CA,27 Dec 2014,L3241084,S21041902
4,House Sparrow,5,Alabama and 24th,US-CA,27 Dec 2014,L3241084,S21041902

Hi Richard,
The format is a bit different. You should use the eBird Record format (

So change the column so that it follows the same as the sample data on that page.

Let me know if you still have issue and I can try to do it.

I got it; thanks.

Mostly, though, I'm confused why the export doesn't export using the eBird format. Having to manually change it to make it load was not ideal.
