I am unable to utilize Hotspot Maps or Species Map with my Android d evices

When I attempt to zoom in on Hotspots, the keyboard appears. I can " Go back" and the keyboard disappears, but e very zoom attempt brings out the keyboard. In addition, I am unable to select a Hotspot or a data point in Species Map. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

Good eBirding!

Hi Tom,

I also use an Android device and always have trouble using the Hotspots and Species Maps on that device. It never seems to fully load and is glitchy. I have simply given up and resort to viewing such data on my PC at a later time. It certainly doesn't help when you want the information at your fingertips.

Difficult I know. When you first load the hotspot map, tap on the black bar beside the search bar before doing anything else. This unclicks from the search bar and prevents the keyboard coming up when you try to zoom in on the map.

Similar trick with the species map as well before you try to zoom in. If you type in a location in the location search bar, the dropdown menu for that comes up way to the right of the webpage and not underneath the search bar, so swipe over to the side and you can find the locations dropdown there, on which you can click to save you some troublesome zooming
