Where have all the birds gone

I live in the Fleetwood, PA area and have feeders out for my birdie friends. I have not seen ANY birds around for the past two days. I mean none. Any ideas as to what has happened to them?

Look up and around and you may see a Coopers' Hawk or Sharp-shinned hawk. Your birds will be back.

One of our eBirders had the same situation, and the huge mixed flock just returned one day as if they never left. In addition to Karl's suggestion, I also speculated that maybe they found a food source in form of a spilled bag of seeds closer to the night roost.
(and by mixed flock I mean unusually diverse for our location; the observer shared numerous photos with 4-5 different passerines together standing next to each other)

It does appear there is a hawk in the area, although I saw it a few days ago sitting on my porch rail while the birds were feeding. I also noticed the squirrels are missing so I suspect it is the hawk causing the problem. I noticed this morning about 4 birds, sparrows, have returned.
