Starling invasion!

My local government used several acres of meadowland to build additional dormitories taking away the roosting area of thousands of starlings. they have now taken over my feeders in my small backyard and keep the songbirds, the doves and woodpeckers away by their sheer numbers. The only way I know to keep them away is by removing the feeders for a couple of weeks. I hate doing that because I see the same species possibly even the same birds come back look around see no food and leave after a couple of minutes. I feel like I'm letting old friends down, lol! Are there any other methods to keep the starlings away?

Well, you could shoot them. That would probably work. :P

Well that would make about much sense as shooting you. There's many more morons just like you out there.
