Record lost when date changed

I had entered a checklist for a late record of Wood Thrush in November. I found out later the date was wrong. When I changed the date, somehow the record disappeared from the sightings map. Any reason why this happened?

Changing the date (or location, or number) would put it back into review.

simply, it must be in review. Until approved (this was a rare sighting right?) it will not show up

Yes it was a rare sighting but it was already approved and plotted on the map, only the date has been changed.
