How many people eBird around the world and per country?

To have a perspective of the quantity of reports that are made in a certain area according to the number of eBirders.

Brian Sullivan — July 17, 12:10PM eBird Staff

These numbers vary by month and year, but are constantly increasing. Right now we have tens of thousands of people entering data in any given month, and more than 100K in any given year. More people use the site than enter data though, and this year alone we’ve had visits from more than 1 million unique users around the world. Breaking these down by country would be more challenging, but the majority come from the United States. We are working hard to change that!

Not sure when you answered the question above. Was it 2016? I am trying to quantify the current number of eBird users -- for my monthly column, Words on Birds, in the Daily Herald (Chicago suburbs).
