eBird Mobile Apps Overview

Over the coming years, eBird will be moving its services onto mobile platforms, including iOS and Android. Currently the eBird Mobile app is focused on data entry in the field, making it easy to record birds as you encounter them while birding, and then submit these observations directly to your eBird account. As the app develops further, we will be bringing in more functionality from eBird: your My eBird stats; the ability to add photos, age/sex information, share lists, etc. Stay tuned for updates on the eBird home page and on this overview page. Also, for more information see our eBird mobile app FAQs.

eBird Mobile

eBird Mobile makes it easy to record the birds you see in the field, and seamlessly link these observations with eBird--a global online database of bird records used by hundreds of thousands of birders around the world. This free resource makes it easy to keep track of what you see, while making your data openly available for scientific research, education, and conservation. eBird Mobile is the only app that passes information directly from iOS and Android devices to your eBird account on the web.
