How can I make a personal location a hotspot?

To suggest a personal location as an eBird hotspot go to "My eBird" and then to "Manage My Locations", located on the right side of the page. Here are all the locations you have ever submitted a checklist from. You can type the name of the location you want to suggest as a hotspot, if you know it, and then select it. This will take you to the location editing page, where you can suggest as a hotspot, as shown above.

You can also find the hotspot in the list, click edit, and suggest as a hotspot from the main Manage My Locations page. To select multiple hotspots, toggle the check box next to the location(s) you wish to suggest as a hotspot and then choose "Suggest As Hotspots" from the drop-down list at the upper right of the page. Then click "Submit."

Using either method, a request will be sent to the eBird editors to review this location as an eBird hotspot.  It should then appear in the hotspots list after being approved by a local expert.
