I've attempted to rename a hotspot for my personal lists using the Manage My Locations tab. Once renamed, the checklists I have submitted use the new name I gave the spot; however, the eBird lists, such as my Life List, County List, etc., still use the original hotspot name. Is there a way to rename a hotspot so that the new name appears on your personal lists? Thanks.

I have the same problem. Have you asked your regional eBird person (by county where I am) to change the name to what you have changed it to? I'm not sure how you find out who that person is if you don't know. Post here and ask how you find out?

The problem is that for one of them, I'm sharing a location with a guy's backyard, and the other there are two viable names, I just prefer the State Park to the old name. Anyone else?

This is a bit confusing we know. Basically, for shared locations you are allowed to create and alias that shows up in your My Locations list. We allow this so that people can organize locations according to a naming scheme they prefer. But for shared locations we retain the official name for all output tools.
