How to get accurate count at feeder when the same birds fly off and return many times in 15 minutes?

I live along a highway with large trucks passing by. Every time one passes and even when some other vehicle pass by, the birds at my feeder fly off. Then, birds return, usually a different number of birds but generally the same kinds. I live in the Berkshires of Mass. and I usually have blue jays, juncos, sparrows, morning doves, nuthatches, chickadees, tufted titmouse and the occasional cardinal. It is the jays, juncos, sparrows and morning doves that seem impossible to get an accurate count of in a fifteen minute period.
