I think I may have seen a bird in our area that is not usual.

For about 20 seconds, I watched a bird new to me at the feeder and have left my camera running ever since to try and record it if it returns. I think it is a Red-breasted Woodpecker, but my bird books say it should not be up here in Ontario. I am in Newmarket, about 30 mioles north of Toronto. Has anyone else seen it here? thanks.

Presumably you're talking about a Red-bellied Woodpecker. I can't say how prevalent they are in your area, but offer it up black oil sunflower seeds and suet and I'd predict you'll get your photo op.
