uploading photos that won't count towards my life list?

I have quite a few photos of birds in the hand from banding, including some poorly known neotropical species with few or no pictures available on Macalay Library (i.e. Lunulated Antbird). I would like to upload these pictures, but I don't want them to count towards my species lists on eBird, because I don't count species that I've banded towards my life list if I've never seen them in the field. Is there a way to upload these photos but not have them count towards my eBird totals?

I don't know if this is what eBord recommends, but you could try making a new account and title it something with the word "banding," and use that.

Thank you for the info Caleb, very useful. It seems like creating a separate account is the only option, which I don't really want to do. It's a shame theres not a "don't count this observation (or list) towards my life lists" option.
