Is there a black Seagull

I am sure I saw one in large flock on the edge of Long Lake by the main pier at Regina Beach.

There are black-backed gulls which are mostly black or very dark grey on their backs and tops of the wings.

There is no bird called "Seagull". There are however, 53 species of Gull around the world you can choose from. In north america none are black. Are you sure it wasn't an American Crow? Or perhaps Black Tern, a bird related to Gulls?
