How can I enter my life list

I want to enter all my old life lists from various times and scraps of paper... these are birds I don't have real data for. I apologize, I asked once before and lost the answer.

Here are two articles depending on whether you have some data or none at all.

If you have no data at all:

If you know at least the dates of the sightings:

The problem with the entry method suggested in the help section, referred to here:
http://help.ebird.org/customer/en/portal/articles/973912-how-to-upload-your-life-list?b_id=1928
is that the species list which shows up will be restricted to the date selected. The help article suggests using January 1, 1900 as a date for this entry, however, only January birds will be on the list. There needs to be a better way to enter historical data without accurate dates and locations.

Steve Juhasz, click on 'Add Species' at the top right of the checklist and you can add whatever species you want to the list.
Yes there needs to be a better way to add your life list but it's what eBird offers at the moment.
