Does 2017 eBird challenge require a checklist a day to achieve 365 or simply 365 in a year.
It is unclear to many of us whether the 2017 eBird challenge requires a complete checklist each and every day of the year to equal 365 or 365 complete checklists if one submits multiple acceptable checklists on some days and none on others. Please clarify. A PA Soc for Ornithology post on PA Birds list serv indicated the latter.

It's 365 eligible checklists submitted by year's end. The goal is to have birders get in the habit of at least one daily checklist, but it wouldn't be fair if someone got sick, especially toward the end of the year, and missed one or more days. So, there is wiggle room and any missing eligible checklists can be made up, or you can simply get ahead in advance as insurance.

Thanks for the clarification. The original contest page seems to imply a strict one-a-day list, whilst the last sentence of the announcement of the 2016 year long contest suggests 365 total is fine! This means I'm back in the game. (And can fall woefully behind all over again!).

That was not clear from the instructions and I have been busting my butt to do a checklist every day, including one from a hospital bed!
MORE CLARITY PLEASE WITH CONTEST!
