There are a number of ways of doing this. Depending on where you are, there may be a local birding or naturalist group which has checklists available.
On eBird, to get a printable checklist go to "Explore Data", then "Explore Hotspots". Find a popular hotspot near where you are birding. Just that darkest (red or orange) hotspot you can find that is close to your location, so most of the possible birds will be included. Click on the hotspot, then click "View Details". On the hotspot's page, on of the tab options is "Printable Checklist". Clicking on that will give you a checklist of all the species reported at that hotspot.

I just realized you're probably asking about a list for the Great Backyard Bird Count.
On the GBBC website (http://gbbc.birdcount.org/), on the bar on the right one of the links is "Bird Lists". This goes here: http://gbbc.birdcount.org/bird-lists/
From there, click on "Bird list tool for the U.S. and Canada". Put in your information and it will generate a list for you.
