Florida Bird Help

Hi there, I don't know if anyone can help but I figured I'd try. I visited my dad in Florida in FEB 2013. We are both avid birders. We traveled to Fort De Soto in Florida on the hunt for a rare bird. We were told a small group of birds, possibly seabirds or shorebirds, had made an appearance there around that time. We were unsuccessful in spotting the birds but now we can't remember what species it was we were looking for. Anyone recall a rare sighting in that area around that time? It looks like a Black-legged Kittiwake, Razorbills and a Long-billed Curlew were being seen in the general area at the time.
