eBird Mobile can't get a GPS signal

It is likely that Location Services for the eBird app are not turned on.

Try going to Settings > Privacy >Location Services. Please be sure Location Services is set to "On". Then look for 'eBird' in the list of apps and check that the toggle switch is set to "On" there as well.
