Accessing your eBird lists

Each time you submit a checklist to eBird, the birds you've seen are added to various lists on your My eBird page. Lists can be found by going to "My eBird" and then clicking on the 'Major Region', 'Country', 'State/Province', or 'County' tabs. All lists can be displayed by clicking the blue linked number next to the list description (e.g., Life List). All eBird lists are live, meaning they are updated immediately after you enter data.

Clicking on the blue "391" on the first row would display a list of all species seen in Massachusetts all-time, while clicking the blue "273" on the second row, under Year, will display a list of all species seen in the province of Oromia this year alone.

Life List--Your life list number is displayed prominently in the upper portion of the My eBird page. This total includes all species seen anywhere in the world.

Major Region--These are lists by major global regions including hemispheres and continents.

Country--Lists by country

State/Province--Lists by state and province.

County--Lists by county or an administrative division smaller than state/province. Note that this level of list is not yet available for all countries around the world, but should be soon.

Month Lists--Many birders like to keep track of the birds they see each month. Your current month total is visible at the top of the My eBird page. Right now it is not possible to see previous months using this tool. But, you can click the 'Download my data' link on the right-hand side of the My eBird page and create your past month lists this way using Excel or similar spreadsheet programs.
